This is the first animal we saw in Costa Rica - we were very excited

He found a friend

Christina was hoping for some good weather...

Well - no sunbathing today!

Bernard is trying to think what to do - we decide to go back to the hotel!

It turned out to be a good decision - we had an amazing thunderstorm that afternoon and later that night - a 6.5 earthquake on the border to Panama

Next day we took a tour in the Manuel Antonio National Park with a guide that showed us all plants and animals of interest

The first animal we saw was an iguana through the binoculars

On the beach in the afternoon we played with the sand crabs

One of the worlds strongest animals - the leafeater ant!

A monkey wants to say hello!

He is a little bit reserved

We found out later that there were plenty of iguanas on the beach

Here is one of them!

This guy was really hungry - he was going for my sandwich!

Bernard didn't care to much - he took a nap on the beach!

This was the beautiful beach we spent the afternoon on!

Later on in the evening we enjoyed the sunset overlooking the ocean!

OK - we also enjoyed the drinks and great food!

The following day I took a small hike behind our hotel

Here is the parrot Maria that we had breakfast together with

This was the only sign of life I saw on my hike behind the hotel

This was on our way back from Manuel Antonio - we crossed this bridge!

Christina is scared to fall down and become alligator food!

Scary animals!
